Here is a selection of dishes which will be available on our party menus and A la Carte menu for Christmas.

Starters christmas

Creamed Jerusalem artichoke soup with rosemary

Home-cured salmon
served with roast beetroot, horseradish, soured cream & soda bread

Potted Morecambe bay shrimps
served with pickled cucumber & malted toast

Roast wood pigeon salad
with spiced puy lentils & feta cheese

Salad of baby leek with quail’s egg, ceps & truffle dressing

Crispy Lincolnshire pork belly served with roast scallops & granny smith apple dressing

Leek & stilton tart with spiced onion chutney

Mains

Slow braised beef in stout accompanied with mashed winter vegetables

Stuffed turkey breast served with chipolatas, creamed Brussels sprouts, chestnuts & bacon

Game pie of pheasant, rabbit & pigeon

Herb roasted monkfish
with leeks, trompette mushrooms & lobster dressing

Pot-roast pheasant breast with pancetta, truffled butter, game chips, Savoy cabbage & pan juices

Venison haunch steak accompanied with cauliflower cheese & marinated prunes. Served with red wine gravy

Celeriac & potato pie with goat’s cheese

Handmade ravioli seasoned with pumpkin, sage & walnut pesto

Puddings

Steamed treacle sponge with clotted cream & custard

Warm mincemeat tart with red wine syrup & pouring cream

Cinnamon stewed fruits with yoghurt ice cream & garibaldi biscuits

Bramley apple crumble with rhubarb ripple ice cream

Chocolate marquise with honeycomb ice cream & candied Satsuma
